Chart Plotter System Requirements
Chart Plotter requires a system that meets or exceeds the following:
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later), Windows Vista or Windows 7
- 1.5 GB of Available Disk Space (More is required temporarily during the instalation process)
- 512MB RAM
- Internet connection to activate the product, this takes 30 seconds, no internet access is required afterwards
- All files are stored on the hard disk, no dongles or discs are required to run the program
.Net Framework 3.5 SP 1 is required to run Chart Plotter, if this is not currently on the machine it will be installed as part of the setup process.
GPS interface requires:
- GPS input baud rate of either 38400 or 9600 or 4800 (note 4800 is the standard but can vary on some GPS devices)
- input via a com port (USB ports can be used to emulate a com port)
- NMEA signal
Note if you have a GPS that requires adaptors or the purchase of leads to output the NMEA signal it could be cheaper to purchase a GPS USB dongle for just £39.95 plus p&p, easy quicker and a backup GPS to your boat's GPS
AIS interface requires:
- AIS NMEA input from an AIS receiver
- input at a baud rate of 3800 ( this is the standard for AIS)
- input via a com port (USB ports can be used to emulate a com port)
